And since you have the kindness to accompany me for a few more sentences, I would like to take this opportunity not only to fill in the gaps, but also to point out something that deserves to be noticed: Web standards. You see, web standards are the set of rules on which websites are based.

There are rules for HTML, CSS, JavaScript or even XML; words you might have heard from your developer before. These standards make sure that all parties involved get the most out of a website. For example, unlike previous websites, we no longer have to program two different websites for Internet Explorer and another browser.
